Phil Maier III has been tattooing for 20+ years all of which has been in the Montrose area. Originally from Prescott, Arizona; His family relocated to Montrose 20 years ago. His life long passion for art lead him to an apprenticeship for tattooing. His travels all over the USA has found him being a mainstay tattooing at the world famous Cellar in Sturgis during bike week and has earned him invitations to many of the most respected tattoo conventions in America where he has won numerous awards for his tattooing.

Passionate about art in many disciplines has seen him create in Watercolor, Sign Painting, Metal Engraving and more.

While Phil is incredibly versatile and able to excel at many different styles; his love of Traditional Japanese imagery is one of his main focuses in his art and tattoo projects. He has won awards for American Traditional, Traditional Japanese, Black & Grey and his bright color showing that even his peers admire his ability to do amazing tattoos in all styles.
